Create Informative Headers and Footer

Each page of your site should have a header and footer. Effective headers and footers project a professional image for your site and communicate important information.

An effective header
An effective header identifies your organization, often using the organization's logo.

Example
This is the "Corporate Information" page of the Microsoft site. The name of the page and the company logo are prominently displayed. The blue bar and the black bar include other links. Headers should always contain a link to the home page.
